Zoom ST-224 Loopjockeying tool

Using Zoom St-224 Sampler and Behringer Bcf-2000 you can improvise loop creation live with instruments and voice.
The Zoom sampler can be used to record 8 loops live with prelistening (using the right channel with headphones (sending signal to a mixer or the head phones output of the sampler, maybe you need to plug a not end jack on the right output) to assign loops and prepare on time) and lets record new samples without stopping all the rest that are playing and waits to start recording when you start to play.
Use only the right channel input with a volume pedal to start to record armed when you need.

Behringer Bcf-2000 is a great add-on via MIDI that lets modify very parameters in realtime along the loop recording improvisation.
Lets see a config for the Behringer specially to do this gigs live.

The knob/buttons on the first row on the Behringer midi control surface has to be assigned to aftertouch of notes 84 to 91 of channel 1on values 0-100.
That lets send on the sampler the sound to left channel or right channel using right channel to prelistening.
The knob determines the 'panning' and the button of the knob sets quickly left or right. Use Toggle On option to do this.
The second row on the Behringer (buttons) are assigned to aftertouch of notes 60 to 67 of channel 1 to move each fader to the center setting the volume to 50 per cent.
The third row on the Behringer (buttons) are assingnes to aftertouch of notes 36 to 43 on the channel 1.
Before use this row you have to select 'volume/bass' effect on the sampler abd set 'edit 1' and 'edit 2' to 0.
This row mutes the loop. The problem is that you can apply affects to the loops.
The faders row on the Behringer are assigned to aftertouch on notes 60 to 67 on the channel 1 .
That controls the volume of the loops.
We will use 2 more buttons, located under the preset selection buttons on the Behringer.
The first button is assigned to aftertouch of note 110 on the channel 1 to value 0 with toggle on.
With the surce button activated on the sampler the source sound goes to channel left.
The second button under the preset selector buttons on the Behringer is assigned too to aftertouch on note 110 on channel one, but with value 100.
That sets the source sound on the sampler to right channel (prelistening).

To loopjockeying quickly is great to use tempos 80 (double 160), 90 (double 180) and 120 (the most quickly to set).
This reason is to set quickly the duration of the next sample to record.
Tempo 80 (160 too) uses 0.750, 1.500, 3.000, 6.000, 12.000
Numbers without decimals are quickly too set, the others has to be obtain with some tricks.
For example to obtain 0.750 at 80 (160 too) bpm you have to set recording tempo to 64 using 'Play/Stop', 'Edit 1', and '+' and '-'.
Without unpress 'Play/Stop', push 'Tap/Bpm' and press '-' to change 3.750 to 0.750.
On tempo 90 (180 too) use recording tempo 45 and 90 and obtain all recording times with 'Play/Stop', 'Tap/Bpm' and '+' and '-' combinations.
On the 120 tempo to obtain 0.250 use recording tempo 192 and the change 1.250 to 0.250.
To obtain 0.500 use recording tempo 160 and change 1.500 to 0.500.
Use different instruments to fill the 8 loops and translate quickly the music on your head to real sound.
